Here is one way Joseph applied the parable:
All those who keep their inheritances, notwithstanding they should be beaten and driven, shall be likened unto the wise virgins who took oil in their lamps. But all those who are unbelieving and fearful, will be likened unto the foolish virgins, who took no oil in their lamps: and when they shall return and say unto the Saints, Give us of your lands—behold, there will be no room found for them.

Those who will not stand for truth and justice, will not inherit.

How much more does this apply for us today, if we will not stand for truth and justice even on the internet, without the threat of being beat or killed? And yet are afraid to even let someone see that we believe in the Saviour! Even those who ran because people were being beat and driven are better than us who hide, though there be no such threat today. Even they will inherit more than us, and they will not inherit. How much less for us?
